Trims with Expo International

Today I am happy to be working with Expo International . If you are not familiar with them, you should be! They have AMAZING trims and embellishments to work with. I could spend all day at the website admiring trims.

**Disclosure:  This blog post includes products from Expo International.  The trims in this post was provided to me to create and share fun projects with my audience! This blog post is compensated.  All ideas and opinions are my own.

Is it cold where you are? It sure is here! I have recently moved back to my home state of Minnesota and I had forgotten how bone chilling it is here. Not that Colorado isn't cold....but brrrrr it is bone cold here! So how about we get crafting with some Hot Chocolate and some DIY's Christmas decor!

As we count down the days till Christmas, there is still time to make some holiday home decor. I did just that. I would love to share them with you!

I also took the time to make a gift bag wine holder. So easy to do, keep reading and I will show you 3 simple Christmas projects you will have done in no time!

First, gather materials for wine gift bag.

You will need:
Pippa Eyelash Fringe Trim
Burlap bag
Burlap tag - optional
Ornament - optional
Small piece of Jute
Beacon Fabri-Tac Adhesive
Fine Line Sharpie - optional

Adhere Pippa Eyelash Fringe Trim to Burlap bag using Beacon Fabri-Tac Adhesive.

Add Pippa Eyelash Fringe Trim to tag.
Using a Sharpie Fine Line print To: and From:. Punch hole in center of tag and add jute.
I added an ornament to the gift bag. I adhered it with Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. Let dry.

Ready for gift giving!

See how simple that was? So easy to add trim to make something look SPECTACULAR!

Ready for a little "Joy" decor?

This piece was so fun to make! Quick too!

You will need:
Alley Natural Woven Braid Trim W/Wooden Beads - Natural
Pre-made Banner 7 1/2"  X  5" - Canvas Corp Brands
Embroidery Thread
Needle
Flower
Muslin - torn
Acrylic Paint - Alizarin Crimson
Paint Brush
Pencil
Beacon Fabri-Tac Adhesive

Using a pencil write the word Joy-or any word.

Using a backstitch, stitch the word Joy.

Add watered down paint like a stain to the wooden beads on the trim and let dry.

Punch a hole in top two corners and tie torn muslin through holes. Adhere trim using Beacon Fabri-Tac Adhesive. Adhere Flower to the end of the Y.

Sew Cute and so easy!

One more to go.................

This banner is very natural in feel. I used the same trim, Alley Natural Woven Braid Trim W/Wooden Beads.

You Will Need:
Harlow Natural Woven Braid Trim
Alley Natural Woven Braid Trim with Wooden Beads
Braided Hemp Loop Round Applique
Canvas Banner - Canvas Corp Brands
Torn Muslin
Wood Dowel
Burlap Triangle - Cut rectangle
Beads and thread
Beacon Fabri-Tac Adhesive

Gathered materials

I was not sure how I wanted this to look, so a good way is to lay out your idea and go from there.

Sew next thing was to start sewing on the beads, you could glue them. I chose to stitch them on. (Crazy) I know!!!!

Once all the beads were on I laid out my Trims from Expo International and started to adhere them down with Fabri-Tac Adhesive. Trim the edges of trim off. Adhere to banner.

Adhere the Braided Hemp Loop Applique to the top of the tree. Add dowel trough the hold and tie off with torn muslin. Hang and enjoy!

I love the way these three projects have turned out! They are made so that everyone could enjoy them. No color scheme to be matched.

I sure hope you have enjoyed your time with me. Stay warm and enjoy the Holidays!
