Stampotique + Eileen Hull Dies = Fabulous Fun!
Hello!
This month Eileen Hull's team is collaborating with Stampotique and both teams have been creating some pretty spectacular projects! I encourage you to check out the June posts on Eileen's blog and the Stampotique blog too!
I have two projects for you today! I am trying to make up for missed time! I have been out of commission since April. I ended up in the hospital in ICU, I had sepsis and it was quite serious. The reason I got that is I had pneumonia and did not know it. I felt absolutely fine. But obviously I was not!
Anyway....I am back and feeling so much better!
Let's get back to the projects!
My first project, my choice was to use Eileen Hull/Sizzix Basket die and I paired it with Stampotique stamp - Kassa's Bloom.
1. Cut out basket using Sizzix - Little Sizzles 6' X 13" Mat board.
2. Stamp Kassa's Bloom randomly on mat board using Archival ink.
3. Using colored pencils I begin to color.
6. Added a little red color. Just a splash.
7. Here is the Magic! I pulled out my Color Box Blends by Eileen Hull. Just two colors, Sunshine and Wildberry. A paint brush and some water.
Wait for it............................................
BAM! I added Sunshine over the top of the flowers and the background. I then added some Wildberry for some pop! Splattered the Wildberry over the top of it.
LOVE, Love, love the way it looks!
Finish by putting it together using your favorite adhesive and you have a lovely basket to display. This would make beautiful candy dishes on a picnic table or do these in wedding colors as party favors! Oh the possibilities!
My second project is made with Eileen's Heartfelt Journal cover. It makes for a fantastic base for making small art boards.
Stampotique stamps I used are as follows!
I stamped images on white card stock using Ranger Jet Black Archival ink.
I covered journal base with paper from 7gypsies. The door paper is also from 7gypsies.
Round all corners with corner rounder.
Sand to distress paper. This is optional!
Using ColorBox Blends by Eileen Hull - Nutmeg, blend ink to distress card stock even more.
I love this look!
I stamped Mela right onto distressed card stock for the base layer of her. Pull out colored pencils and start coloring.
Here are the different parts of Mela that I colored. I did color 2 dresses.
I adhered on the door and parts of Mela. I added first layer of dress and added another layer on top of first dress to get a flowing motion. You can't tell in 1st photo, in the second photo you can see it it lifted off the base. I added a hat onto Mela made from one of the tops of a house. I added some rub-ons from 7 gypsies. I stamped the book plate with Stampotique Upholstered stamp along with the verse stamp. I did some extra shading around the door and Mela and now I have a great little art piece to remind me to just be ME!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I know it has been a long time, but I am BACK! YAY!
