Vintage Girl Shadow Box
Hello friends!
Today I have an absolutely fantastic project for you! If you love Vintage as much as I do, you will love this! I made the cutest shadow box Vintage decor piece with A Vintage Girl Vintage Dress Up Set! If you have not been over to A Vintage Girl shop, I am telling you hop right over!!!
Amazing must haves!!!!
When I first laid eyes on this Vintage Girl Dress Up Set I knew I needed to do something wonderful with it! Well now I know I want to do more with it, that's for sure.
So many possibilities!
They come on a sheet like this.
I had a shadow box from Micheal's and I thought/hoped it would work.
Heck YEAH! This is going to be perfect!
So I started painting and cutting and digging out the Vintage buttons Candy Rosenberg sent to me and it just came together so beautifully.
To die for!!!!!
Blue dress is painted on top with Deco Art paint, with a skirt from 7 gypsies cardstock. I added some lines and shading on top of skirt and it is a finished piece.
Knicker set........Love, love, love! Dress form to die for! Polka dot dress made of cardstock and shading. Add the buttons and little spool and scissors with some Beacon Fabri-Tac!
A few stick pins here and there, buttons everywhere!
I can't wait to get more dresses to play with!
I can't believe I just said that! I never even played with Barbies!
I hope you loved this as much as I did! These are amazing and the quality of the chipboard is really spectacular to work with! It takes paint and stain with no problem.

Brea Reese Watercolor Resist Panel
Hello Friends!
How is Spring in your neighborhood? Ours seems like it has finally arrived. MN has been cruel this year and it has taken some time to finally see some flowers and the leaves out on the trees. Oh and I can't forget about the beautiful sounds of the chirping birds.
Soon shall come the butterflies!
So what better way to wait for them than to sit down with my granddaughter and have a little crafting with the Brea Reese Watercolor Resist Panel which happens to have a butterfly on it!
First thing we did was gather all our supplies.
Supplies:
Brea Reese Watercolor Resist Panel
Brea Reese Glitter Inks Orange, Pink, Medium Magenta
Brush
Water
We removed resist panel from package.
Started to apply color, starting with Orange.
It already is gorgeous and my granddaughter was so proud of herself it gave her confidence in her art. Next she applied Pink and the the Medium Magenta.
So beautiful! She absolutely adores it!
Double win, happy granddaughter and fun crafting!

May 15th - National Chocolate Chip Day!
Hello friends!
Did you know that there was a day just for chocolate chips?
I sure didn't!
But there is and today is the day!
I decided to have some fun, I took out a bag of chocolate chips and my Brea Reese Watercolor Pan set and started to paint.
I think now is a GREAT time to tell you that many stores are now carrying Brea Reese products!
Target, Hobby Lobby and Michael's.
Do you know how hard it was to paint and not eat the chocolate chips?
Every darn morsel sitting there all chocolate like, baiting me to take a bite. UGH!
I did bite into a few morsels!
LOL! It kept changing the image!
The stage was set!
Already the chips are missing in action!
I know you want one!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy at least one chocolate chip something today!

Blog Hop with Rinea and Designer Crafts Connection
Hello and welcome to our hop!
This hop will give you amazing ideas and inspiration!
We have such a talented group of designers participating in the hop - so be sure to hop over to the Designer Crafts Connection blog to check them all out.
Rinea is a foiled double sided paper that holds it shape. It is truly amazing!
Since it holds it's shape I wanted to try embossing and sanding to make some home decor and I will say I love the way it turned out!
Supplies Needed:
Once embossed, adhere Rinea paper to the block of wood. Make sure it is centered. Cut excess off.
Take a fine grit sand paper or block and lightly sand over the paper.
See below how the shine of the paper in some areas are sanded. It still kept it's shape. Now just add antiquing medium to the whole block including the top.
I added a coat of Matte varnish to protect. Let dry and they are ready to display!
I think they are beautiful!
